How To Act: On Camera is for actors ready to take their screen work to the next level.
Across five half-day sessions, you’ll work entirely on camera in a focused, workshop environment with professional camera and lighting equipment. Each day centres on a new scene, giving you the space to properly apply, test and deepen the tools introduced at How To Act: Boot Camp through sustained, practical work.
This is not about creating showreel material. The focus is on craft. On experimenting, refining and developing the level of precision required to achieve excellence on screen. You’ll interrogate and adjust your work in real time, building a sharper understanding of what actually translates on camera and why. Expect direct, detailed direction, and the space to take risks, make bold choices and sharpen your instincts under pressure.
You will leave with a rigorous, embodied process for approaching screen work at a professional level.
How To Act is an acting studio led by Acting Coach Andrew Whyment - Masters Of The Air (Apple TV), Jerk (BBC), My Father’s Shadow (Element Pictures) - for professionals who want to develop their craft and sharpen their approach to screen acting. Classes are open to actors at all stages, whether preparing for auditions, building a showreel or stepping onto set for the first time.
To participate you must be over eighteen and have at least one professional acting credit. Classes are limited to twelve actors. All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
